View Specifications →The Republic of Seychelles, an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, represents one of the world's most demanding climatic zones for modern civil engineering and architecture. Characterized by high humidity, constant ambient marine salt spray (C5-M corrosion category), severe tropical storm risks, and intense solar irradiance, buildings in Seychelles require materials that transcend aesthetic value to deliver functional survival and thermal insulation.
Under the Seychelles Sustainable Development Strategy (SSDS), there is a significant national push towards sustainable, carbon-neutral resort and residential construction. Conventional single-pane monolithic glass causes extreme indoor greenhouse effects, forcing heavy HVAC air-conditioning consumption. Our Custom Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) serve as the ultimate thermal barrier, helping developers reduce energy usage by up to 40% while preserving panoramic ocean views.
For mid-to-high latitude markets, double glazing is designed to trap heat inside. However, in the Seychelles tropical climate, the heat-flow direction is reversed. The primary goals of architectural glass here are:
Founded in 2006, Jiangsu Guoxin Glass Co., Ltd. has established itself as a leading global manufacturer and exporter of highly processed safety, decorative, and energy-efficient glass products. With nearly two decades of deep industry experience, we specialize in supplying state-of-the-art building glass systems that meet the rigorous requirements of international building codes.
Our expansive manufacturing facility utilizes fully automated cutting, polishing, tempering, and double-glazing lines from industry-leading engineering firms, ensuring micron-level accuracy. We source premium-grade float glass substrates from world-class suppliers to manufacture customized structural insulated glass, laminated glass, and fire-resistant products that deliver long-term reliability in aggressive marine climates like the Seychelles.
Certified ISO 9001:2015 compliant with ongoing export compliance for European, Australian, and US building regulations.

Seychelles resorts face constant threats from saline mist. Conventional single-sealed insulating glass quickly fails, leading to internal condensation. We implement a state-of-the-art dual-seal system featuring a primary Polyisobutylene (PIB) seal to block moisture transmission and a secondary high-strength structural silicone seal that resists UV degradation and salt spray erosion.
Our glass incorporates off-line magnetron sputtered Low-E coating layers. This micro-thin silver-based layer acts as a selective filter: it allows high Visible Light Transmittance (VLT) so spaces feel bright, while blocking up to 85% of infrared energy (heat) and 99% of harmful UV rays. This greatly lowers indoor solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) values.
By default, our insulated glass units are filled with 90% dry Argon gas. Because Argon is heavier and denser than regular air, it drastically slows down heat conduction between the outer glass pane and the inner glass pane. This configuration helps achieve exceptionally low U-values, ideal for minimizing cooling costs in tropical offices.
Architectural guidelines based on structural calculations, wind pressures, and thermal performance indexes.
| Glass Configuration | U-Value (W/m²·K) | SHGC | VLT (%) | Optimal Applications |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6mm Low-E + 12Argon + 6mm Clear | 1.6 - 1.8 | 0.35 - 0.40 | 55% - 65% | Standard hotels, luxury coastal villas, premium residential complexes. |
| 6mm Low-E + 16Argon + 6mm Laminated | 1.4 - 1.6 | 0.28 - 0.33 | 45% - 55% | High windload beachfront suites, resorts on Praslin & La Digue. |
| 8mm Solar Control + 12Ar + 8mm Temp | 1.5 | 0.25 - 0.30 | 35% - 45% | Commercial facades, Victoria office buildings, large skylights. |
